Beyond 1969 - The band/show that brings you back to those HIPPIE YEARS!
Their exciting new video, "Comin' Back To The Blues," was released on March 1, 2026. Tom "The Suit" Forst and "Beyond 1969" wanted to create sound that captured the group live in the studio to preserve the feel and spontaneity of the band's heralded live performances."

"Back To The Blues" is the album, and its sound is a winning combination of influences ranging from Johnny Winter, Joe Bonamassa, and The Black Crowes, to Savoy Brown, Climax Blues Band, Canned Heat, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and even Mike Bloomfield. Joining this exciting and eclectic group is the soul-stirring blues of icons like Magic Sam, Albert King, and Jimmy "Fast Fingers" Dawkins. Blending classic rock and blues with original material "Beyond 1969" pays tribute to the music of the late 1960's and the spirit of the Woodstock era with a sound that is exciting, unforgettable, and totally their own.
"They are the greatest musicians that I have ever had the pleasure of playing with." - Tom Forst
"Back To The Blues" contains 10 original songs, including a few surprises: a couple of amazing acoustic tracks, one of which, "Goin' Down," showcases Tom First's exciting fretwork.Tony Delisio wrote two, and Tom Forst wrote the other eight. "Tony and I wrote these songs about passion: love, loss, lust, loneliness, and laughter.Every lyric and note tells a story that all humans will relate to." However, it needs to be crystal clear how important the band dynamic is here. There are no extra players, no backup singers, no over-engineering; just the pure clean sound of a live performance. The group collaborated closely to write the album arrangements. Vic Steffens, owner of Connecticut's #1 award-winning studio, "Horizon Studios," where the album was recorded, and the sessions producer, discussed at length with the band how they wanted the album to sound. Their strong chemistry brings out the best in each member, both musically and personally, making them a good fit when writing together; everyone is actually friends. The potent combination of chemistry, musical talent, and originality sets this outfit apart from so many others in a very crowded field.Check out the video, "Comin' Back To The Blues". This video, like the album, is live. Tom Forst - "This video, like the album, is live—we wanted to create a sound that was authentic and dynamic, which only a live presentation can deliver. We decided to record the title track of our upcoming album, "Back To The Blues".This song is a good example of what can be heard on this rock/blues album: an all original recording in the spirit of Johnny Winter and Joe Bonamassa live in the studio".
""Beyond 1969" has certainly been a thrilling discovery for me. It is refreshing to hear a band willing to take chances, catching listeners off guard and gifting us all with an album filled with surprises. Blending authenticity, spontaneity, and collaboration, "Beyond 1969" is a band driven forward by a shared passion for its music.Leaving a lasting impact on their audience, they are certainly ready to inspire future generations. "Beyond 1969" pulls the past, present, and future together with timeless music that never goes out of step. Thanks to "Beyond 1969","Back to the Blues" is the perfect musical prescription that should be taken as often as possible. It is a fantastic release that will be enjoyed well into the future from a truly remarkable band.
