Rhodium is the most valuable metal in the world , a metal 10 times more valuable than gold . Rhodium is an invaluable resource in many industries . Rhodium is an excellent catalyst . It controls and encourages chemical reactions . So much like Rhodium we have a rare element in Tom Hambridge , a man who encourages reactions in the studio , pushes artists to dig deep , a true catalyst , a valuable asset to be treasured and valued . Tom isn't content to stay on the surface , he asks those that he works with to find their inner strengths , take a path of self-discovery , reveal more of what they can do , and surprise both themselves , and their audience, with the results .

BLU JA VU - Tom invites a few friends over to perform on some of his own compositions , 13 tracks, many that are written in partnership with longtime friend Richard Fleming . Stepping out from behind the booth, Tom shares the studio with the likes of Buddy Guy , the " Kingfish" , the late James Cotton,(last recording sessions before James Cotton passed away),Josh Smith,Joe Bonamassa , Rob Mcnelley , Chuck Leavell , Kevin McKendree,Jon Coleman , Glenn Worf , and Bob Britt . Emil Justin adds backing vocals to several tracks . Robert Randolph co-wrote " Meet Me In Chicago" with Tom. While you may expect the results of some of these collaborations , you will be greatly surprised , and enraptured , by the end results .

" I think maybe one of my strengths as a producer is that I know what else they can do - and what else we can do to expand their vision to put more colors on the canvas . I'm able to pull those things out of the artists."

Tom Hambridge may be content to play drums, produce the sessions and sing his songs . However on "BLU JA VU" Tom's friends bring the party right to Tom's doorsteps , raucous revelry that spans the generations. These exciting , fun-filled sessions bring greater recognition to an award-winning talent whose incredible work has spanned decades ,  resulting in ground-breaking recordings for artists across every genre , someone who is certainly a vital contributor to the world-wide music scene. Tom Hambridge follows the beats of his own drums , and the results have always been cleverly interesting and outstanding. "BLU JA VU " is lively and fun and a guaranteed good time for everyone , showcasing a master craftsman at the top of his game.

"So many of my friends have gone, maybe my time ain't long, but I promise 'til the day I die , I'm gonna keep the blues alive. But I feel sometimes like I'm the end of the line."-"End Of The Line" - Tom Hambridge

Added Note - One of most poignant and striking tracks has Tom Hambridge lamenting the fact that Johnny Winter is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - even though he's been eligible for 25 years! "Johnny Winter" questions why the legendary guitarist has been ignored by the "Hall" , a glaring slight that is amplified even further when you see all the folks that shouldn't be there .
